What Does APMA Mean & Why It's Important

We knew our shoes were good for growing little feet, but now it's official!

Livie & Luca has the great honor of being recognized by the American Podiatric Medical Association for four of our shoe collections with different sole types. Our shoe collections have been granted the APMA Seal of Acceptance given to products, including shoes and insoles, found to promote good foot health.

We’re proud to say that four of our shoe collections with different sole types - Baby, Honeycomb, Trac, and Turf - have been awarded the Seal.

To earn the Seal, each product is reviewed by a group of APMA podiatrists to ensure it allows normal foot function and promotes foot health. The committee also looks at information on the product’s safety and quality control.

Why does the APMA offer this?

The APMA wants physicians and the general public to be able to make the best possible decisions about their foot health. An important part of their mission is to raise awareness about high quality products that are made with true consideration for the consumer's comfort and safety.

Why do we consider it so important here at Livie & Luca?

Our Joyful Foot Philosophy is based on comfort and good foot health. In designing, we consider the health of children’s feet first and foremost. & having the APMA certification is right in line with our process of considering every little detail of a shoe, from from the tiniest thought bubble to the finished product.

We’re proud to be able to offer you the cutest and healthiest shoes on the block!
