“The best fairy houses are built in the little nooks and coves of great big trees, or in a hidden little spot in your backyard. Make sure to always put a little bit of flower petals nearby to attract the fairies and be sure to put some moss inside to make a cozy bed!”
The beauty of fairy houses is that they can be made of anything and in any place. Jes Anthonis, of Mosey Handmade, and her family are fairy house creators extraordinaire. They love collecting treasures from the rocky coast of Maine - bits of sea glass and pottery; on the West Coast the find moss, lichen and lovely shells. Her daughter, Emma, always collects the most, her pockets bulging with precious treasures. When their friends and family travel to faraway places they also make sure to bring back treasures for the fairies!
Because they’re comfortable, flexible and washable, Livie & Luca shoes are just right for exploring beach, forest or backyard for fairy house ingredients. Besides, fairies are fans of all things fanciful and whimsical!
