We all delight in the wonder of imaginative play and feel instinctively that it’s good for our children. But why?  To process and make sense of their daily experiences, children use imaginative play.

 
Entering into the world of make believe builds social skills in essential developmental areas – decision making, taking turns, responsibility, empathy, and creative problem solving. Imaginary play helps kids express all ranges of emotion and behavior and to experiment with their effects on others. Plus, scientists say that pretend play in early childhood helps us become more flexible and creative human beings!

All types of play, especially imaginative, lie at the core of Livie & Luca and Mosey Handmade’s  philosophies so we are eager to encourage it and talk about its benefits!
