During this season of giving, we wanted to let you know some ways we’ve been reaching out to our community to share our time, our love and our shoes!
On a mission to surprise and delight, as always, this month we donated 1700 pairs of shoes to Holy Family Day Home in San Francisco. The mission of Holy Family Day, (which has been around for over 120 years!) is to provide affordable, high quality, early childhood education, and family support services in a stable and nurturing environment to Bay Area children.

Here we are, hauling boxes of shoes to their van, sending them along with sweet wishes to keep hundreds of children’s feet protected and happy.
At Livie & Luca we nourish our hearts, minds, and bodies. Creativity is one of our greatest strengths. A representative from each department in our Emeryville office joined Amie for a volunteer afternoon to get our hands dirty and nurture our creativity through helping to finish building an art studio at a local non-profit in Oakland.
Canticle Farm is an urban farm, educational center and intentional community, experimenting at the intersections of faith-based, social-justice-based, and Earth-based nonviolent activism.
“I am sooo glad I took the time to learn about this community resource and lend a helping hand. Truly a manifestation of our pillars: working from an abundant mindset, standing for joy, alchemy. Met some wonderful folks today, people really moving in the world intentionally.” - Lydia, Director of Operations at Livie & Luca

These are just a couple of the ways we have given back to our communities over the last month and over the next week, we will also be giving to you, dear Solemates! The holidays are all about surprising and creating joy in the little and big moments that the season brings. So, be on the lookout as the next week we will be spreading a little joy on our social accounts. Be sure to watch our posts and stories as well as tag and use #livieandluca on social for your chance to be selected. Besides, there is really nothing better than an unexpected delight...right!?
