Share something about yourself:

When it comes down to it, I am a wife with 3 kids and heart after God.

Some people feel fashion is more of a hobby or shopping addiction rather than a serious industry. Shabby Addy is a dream I have had since I was 12 and my 7th grade English teacher told me to find what I love and make a career out of it.

Since then, I earned a degree from FIDM in Merchandise Marketing & Management and every day I take time to further my education and be an expert in my field. I dedicate time daily to read market analysis reports, trend reports, success books and more to further my business. 

Describe a day in the life at Shabby Addy:

I usually begin my day visiting my local bow maker to pick up new bows for our shop.  I love seeing new creations she comes up with and helping support another local entrepreneur.

As a small business owner, I juggle various responsibilities in the store from helping customers (which is my favorite part!), to creating window displays or steaming and preparing new merchandise.

While I don't have employees, I am blessed to be supported by people I love. I met an amazing business owner, Julie, who owns a women's clothing shop, Bella Forte Boutique next door. We took down the wall that separated our businesses and operate under one roof. It is wonderful to have found someone who is just as passionate about their business as I am.  

Tell us about your partnership with Livie & Luca:

If it wasn't for wonderful partners such as Livie & Luca, I wouldn't be able to offer the service and products my customers have grown to love. I have carried Livie & Luca for over 4 years now and they have consistently been one of my top sellers in the store.

The support Livie & Luca offers retailers is paralleled to none. It is apparent they have a commitment to their retailers to be supportive and do everything they can to help us succeed.

My favorite thing they offer is their seasonal trunk show. We just had our 3rd semi annual trunk show with them and it is always a fun and wildly successful event. My customers enjoy being able to see every shoe that is available in the season and being able to order in exactly what they want. 

& of course, we have to ask -- what is your favorite Livie & Luca product?

Do I really have to choose just one favorite?!

My favorite part about Livie & Luca is that they make a shoe to fit every foot! It is a toss up between the Petal and Ruche. Both shoes come in great colors each season. Ruche accommodates a higher instep, while the Petals provide more coverage for a more slender foot. Both shoes are durable and comfortable enough to wear every day, but also dressy and special enough to match boutique clothing.
